Japan Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (Act No. 57 of 1976) Art.40-2: Art. 40-2 MLM mid-term cancellation and return of goods

After the cooling-off period a participant may cancel the MLM contract for the future; a participant of under one year may also cancel purchases of goods except those received more than ninety days before, resold, or used or consumed (unless the seller caused it). The operator may not claim more than ordinary costs plus the price of delivered goods not returned and profits paid, or the price of services provided; the seller of returned goods may claim at most ten percent of the price; the organiser is jointly liable for the seller's refund obligation; contrary terms are void.
