Italy Workers' Statute (Law 300/1970) Art. 23: Art. 23 Grant paid leave to union representation leaders at the statutory minimum

RSA leaders have the right to paid leave for their mandate. Unless collective agreements are more favourable, at least one leader per RSA is entitled in units of up to 200 employees of the category, one per 300 or fraction in units of up to 3,000, and one more per 500 or fraction in larger units; the leave is at least eight hours a month in the larger units and at least one hour a year per employee in units of up to 200. The worker gives written notice, as a rule 24 hours in advance, through the RSA. Art. 29 applies these limits per union where representations merge.
