ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207:2017 6.4.9: Verification process: provide objective evidence that the system or element meets its specified requirements

What does 6.4.9 require?

The project identifies the verification constraints that influence requirements, architecture or design, makes the enabling systems available, verifies the system or element, reports data for corrective action, provides objective evidence that what was built satisfies the requirements, the architecture and the design, identifies verification results and anomalies and establishes traceability of the verified elements; for software this covers verification of work products, qualification testing of the integrated software and system qualification testing before delivery. Activities: prepare for verification, perform verification, manage the results.
