The project identifies the analyses needed, validates the assumptions and results of the analyses, provides the results for decisions, makes the enabling systems available and establishes traceability of the analysis results; analysis ranges from mathematical analysis, modelling and simulation to experimentation, covering performance, behaviour, feasibility, affordability, quality characteristics, technical risk and life cycle cost, with rigour matched to the criticality of the need.
