Performance evaluation – ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management Systems

ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management Systems 9.1.1: General

Decide, for both the EnMS and energy performance, what is to be monitored and measured, including as a minimum: how effective action plans are at meeting objectives and energy targets; the EnPIs; how SEUs operate; and energy consumption, actual set against expected. Decide also which methods will give valid results, when monitoring and measurement take place, and when their results are analysed and evaluated. Evaluate energy performance and how effective the EnMS is; judge the improvement in energy performance by setting EnPI values against the EnBs that correspond to them; look into significant deviations in energy performance, act on them, and keep documented information on what was found and done; keep documented information on the results of monitoring and measurement.
