The organization must set up, run, keep up and keep improving a community sustainable development management system, as the standard requires, covering the processes it needs and how they interact, and must obtain enough resources to put it into effect at the right level of authority. The clauses may be applied together or one after another. Taking account of the purposes and issues that matter, the system must promote joined-up, whole-picture and consistent ways of pursuing sustainable development.
