The organization must identify which interested parties matter to the management system, what they require, and which of their needs and expectations it will treat as compliance obligations. Involving interested parties properly is a central principle: implementation cannot succeed unless they accept, understand, want, care about, are aware of, see the benefits of and take responsibility for it, and because an organization's responsibilities and funds are limited, partnerships are needed.
