Part 4: Obligations of economic operators dealing with products – Ireland European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023)

Ireland European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636 of 2023) R12-13: Importer or distributor treated as manufacturer, and identification of supply chain operators for five years

What does R12-13 require?

An importer or distributor that places a product on the market under its own name or trade mark, or modifies a product already on the market in a way that may affect compliance, takes on all the manufacturer's obligations. Every economic operator in the product chain must, on request, identify to the market surveillance authority who supplied it and to whom it supplied products, and be able to do so for five years after receiving or supplying the product.
