If an importer believes a product does not conform it must not place it on the market until it conforms, and where it does not comply must inform the manufacturer and the market surveillance authority. While the product is in its care, storage and transport must not compromise compliance. After placing on the market it must correct or withdraw non-conforming products, inform the competent authorities of the Member States concerned with details, and keep a register of non-compliant products and related complaints.
