The CB has a documented policy and process for clients hit by a serious event: it reviews affected audits, assesses the risk of continuing certification against IAF ID 3 section 3, records the outcome, planned actions and programme deviations, agrees a course of action with the client, and asks the Foundation for an exemption (or suspends) if surveillance cannot happen in the calendar year.
