Article 34 fixes entry into force at the twentieth day following publication in the Official Journal. Publication was on 7 June 2019, so the Directive entered into force on 27 June 2019. Entry into force is not the application date. The obligations for products and services apply from 28 June 2025 under Article 31(2), and the Article 4(8) 112 duty can be deferred to 28 June 2027. A file that uses 27 June 2019 as the compliance date confuses the two events.
