Chapter XI, delegated acts, implementing powers and final provisions

European Accessibility Act, article register (Directive (EU) 2019/882) art-27: Article 27: Committee procedure

What does art-27 require?

Paragraph 1 establishes the committee that assists the Commission and brings it within Regulation (EU) No 182/2011, the regulation that governs how member states control the Commission's implementing powers. Paragraph 2 applies the examination procedure in Article 5 of that regulation to the implementing acts this Directive provides for, including the technical specifications under Article 15(3) and the amendment or repeal of a technical specification under Article 21(4). The article does not create a duty for an economic operator. It tells the operator how a technical specification will be made and changed, which is useful when a file relies on one.
