EU ATEX Directive (Directive 2014/34/EU) 8.8-9: Importers: keep the declaration for 10 years, ensure access to the technical file and cooperate with authorities

What does 8.8-9 require?

For 10 years after placing on the market, importers must keep a copy of the declaration or attestation available to market surveillance authorities and ensure the technical documentation can be made available on request. On a reasoned request they must provide all information and documentation needed to show conformity, in a language the authority easily understands, and cooperate on action to eliminate the risks of products they placed on the market.
