Manufacturers must have procedures that keep series production in conformity, taking proper account of changes to the product's design or characteristics and of changes to the harmonised standards or other specifications against which conformity is declared. Where the risks of a product warrant it, they must sample-test products on the market, investigate, keep a register of complaints, non-conforming products and recalls where needed, and keep distributors informed of that monitoring.
