EU ATEX Directive (Directive 2014/34/EU) 6.1: Design and manufacture each product to the Annex II essential health and safety requirements

What does 6.1 require?

When placing a product on the market, or using it for their own purposes, manufacturers must ensure it has been designed and manufactured in line with the essential health and safety requirements of Annex II. The duty applies equally to equipment built in-house for the manufacturer's own use.
