Connecticut Rules of Professional Conduct (Connecticut Practice Book) 7.1: No false or misleading communications about the lawyer or the lawyer's services

What does 7.1 require?

Statements about a lawyer or the lawyer's services must be neither false nor misleading. A statement fails the test when it misrepresents a material fact or point of law, or when it leaves out something needed to keep the whole statement from being materially misleading. Under the Rule 7.2 commentary the same test governs claims that a lawyer concentrates in, focuses on or limits practice to a field.
