CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)
Module 2: Identification, assessment and management of dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities – CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project)

CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) 2.2.4-2.2.9: Questions 2.2.4 to 2.2.6, 2.2.8 and 2.2.9: Portfolio process and client or investee environmental information (financial services)

Financial institutions state, per portfolio (banking, investing, insurance underwriting), whether they have processes for identifying, assessing and managing environment-related dependencies, impacts, risks and opportunities that arise from portfolio activities and describe them; state whether they consider environmental information about clients and investees in due diligence and risk assessment; and indicate which information (for example emissions data or climate transition plans), for which clients and how it influences decisions. CDP's ambition is a robust portfolio-wide process, at least annual, covering the proportion of the portfolio and total asset value to which it applies, with environmental information considered for all relevant portfolios and the screening criteria and coverage disclosed.
