California Civil Code Section 1950.5 (Residential Security Deposits) h-3: (h)(3) Good-faith estimate where work or invoices are not complete within 21 days

Where a repair by the landlord or its staff cannot reasonably be finished within 21 days after the tenant leaves, or a supplier's documents are not yet in hand, the landlord may deduct a good-faith estimate and send it with the statement, naming the supplier with address and telephone number where the documents are outstanding. Within 14 days after the work is done or the documents arrive, the landlord sends the final statement and documents under (h)(1) and (2).
