BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety Issue 9 8.6.1: Waste disposal controlled to prevent cross-contamination, with bins dedicated to each zone

What does 8.6.1 require?

Systems for disposing of waste must keep contamination to a minimum by controlling cross-contamination. The movement of waste and waste containers must be risk-assessed, and bins must be dedicated to zones classed high-risk or high-care instead of moving from one zone to another.
