Where a supplier was approved on the strength of a questionnaire, its traceability is verified by a traceability test at first approval and at least every 3 years afterwards; where an intermediary supplies, the test covers the last manufacturer, packer or consolidator in the chain, and supply from farms and fish farms needs further verification.
