Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)
Part 2-2: fraud and corruption control, debt recovery and officials' disclosure of material personal interests (sections 10 to 16DA) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule) 16A-16C: Members of bodies appointed under a law: disclose material personal interests to the other appointed members at a meeting, stay out of consideration and voting unless the others determine otherwise, and minute both the disclosure and the determination

What does 16A-16C require?

Where an official is appointed under a law to a committee, council or other body (or the entity itself) made up only of officials of the entity, the official must disclose a material personal interest to each other appointed member at a meeting as soon as practicable and on any change, and ensure it is minuted. Unless the other appointed members decide otherwise, the official must not be present for or vote on the matter, must take no part in that decision, and must ensure the decision is minuted. The same rules apply to an accountable authority or member who sits on such a body ex officio, in addition to sections 13 to 15.
