Part 2-2: fraud and corruption control, debt recovery and officials' disclosure of material personal interests (sections 10 to 16DA) – Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule)

Australia Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014 (PGPA Rule) 14: Board member's disclosure: a member of an accountable authority discloses a material personal interest to the other members at a meeting, as soon as practicable and again on change, and makes sure it is minuted

What does 14 require?

Where the accountable authority is a board or other group, a member with a material personal interest in the entity's affairs (other than an excused interest) must tell each other member, orally or in writing, setting out the nature and extent of the interest and how it touches the entity's affairs. The disclosure is made at a members' meeting as soon as practicable after the member becomes aware of the interest, repeated when the interest changes, and the member must ensure it is recorded in the meeting minutes.
