An employee moved from one site to another during ordinary hours must be paid ordinary pay for the travel time and, unless the employer transports them, reimbursed the reasonable cost of fares on the most convenient public transport. Where the employer asks the employee to use their own vehicle for the transfer and they agree, the employer must pay the per kilometre amount in clause 21.9(e)(ii) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026).
