If an employee must, at the employer's requirement, supply tools (other than basic consumables), it must either reimburse the cost of providing them or pay the weekly tool allowance, the amount in clause 21.8(a) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026), which covers buying tools and keeping them in good working order.
