Employees using toxic substances, which include epoxy-based materials and any materials needing a catalyst hardener, reactive additives or a 2-pack catalyst system, must be paid the higher hourly amount, and employees working close to them the lower hourly amount, both in clause 21.6(o) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026). Where the work runs into the meal break, 10 minutes' washing time must be allowed before the meal break, and 10 minutes is also granted where the work runs to, or ends before, the day's finish; washing time counts as time worked.
