When installation work requires employees to work inside service shafts, they must be paid, on top of other allowances, a daily service shaft amount on any day including weekends, at one amount for up to 4 hours in the shaft and a higher amount for more than 4 and up to 8 hours, and an extra amount for each whole hour where the day's total exceeds 8 hours, all in clause 21.6(m) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026).
