An employee working where the temperature is artificially raised to between 46 and 54 degrees Celsius must be paid the lower hourly amount per hour or part hour, and where it exceeds 54 degrees the higher additional amount, both in clause 21.6(k) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026). If that work lasts beyond 2 hours, a 20-minute rest follows each 2 hours without loss of pay, the special rate not applying to the rest.
