An employee working where the temperature has been lowered artificially below 0 degrees Celsius must be paid the hourly amount in clause 21.6(f) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026). If the work goes on for more than 2 hours, they get a 20-minute rest after each 2 hours with no loss of pay; the special rate itself is not paid for the rest time.
