Disability allowances for particular tasks, conditions or places do not attract premiums or penalties, and where two or more cover substantially the same disability only the highest is paid. The allowances for acid plants, aluminium foil, bitumen, cold work, cutting tiles, hospitals and morgues, hot work, service shafts and towers are payable to all employees, including those receiving the industry allowance. The allowances for asbestos work, explosive powered tools, fumes, insulation and toxic substances are paid only to employees at Worker Level 1 who do not receive the industry allowance.
