If an employee is required by the employer to rely on their plumber's licence (or an equivalent) by signing notices and taking responsibility to the relevant authorities, the employee must be paid the hourly amount in clause 21.4(a) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026) for every hour of employment, whether or not they actually acted on the licence in a given hour.
