An employee specifically appointed as a leading hand must be paid an additional weekly amount above the higher of their own weekly minimum and that of the highest classification they supervise, scaled by how many employees they are in charge of (1, 2 to 5, 6 to 10, or more than 10); the amounts are those in clause 21.3(h) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026). The hourly equivalent is the weekly amount multiplied by 52/50.4, divided by 38, rounded to the nearest cent, and it applies for all purposes.
