An employee at Sprinkler fitting tradesperson Level 1 or above must receive the weekly sprinkler fitter trade allowance, the amount in clause 21.3(e) of the current award (consolidated to 16 September 2026, read 30 September 2026), whether or not their work involves the conditions it replaces (insulation handling, explosive powered tools, toxic substances and working near them, fumes, and asbestos materials or proximity). Employees below tradesperson Level 1 receive the plumbing trade allowance instead, by incidence and worked out per hour.
