Except as the clause allows, no employee may be required or permitted to work in inclement weather. Employees required to do so are only obliged to do work essential to overcome the emergency, restore acceptable service or secure or make the site safe, and are paid double time, 200% of the ordinary hourly rate. The employer must reimburse the full cost of suitable protective clothing unless it supplies it. An employee whose clothes get wet and who has no dry work clothes may stop work for the day at completion of the work without loss of pay.
