Employees must be paid for ordinary hours lost to inclement weather up to a maximum of 32 hours in each 4-week period. The first period begins on the first Monday falling on or after 1 January, and each later one 4 weeks after the last; each employee is credited 32 hours at the start of each period, with no accumulation or carry-over; a new starter receives 8 hours of credit per week or part week employed in that period; the credit reduces by the hours paid; and payment is weekly.
