The living away from home provisions apply when an employee is working on a job so far from their usual residence that they cannot reasonably go home each night. At engagement the employee gives, on request, their address at the time of applying and any separately maintained residence. The employer must not use undue influence to get an employee to give a false address to avoid its obligations, and a later change of address does not trigger entitlements unless the employer agrees.
