Unless superannuation law requires another fund, the employer's contributions and any authorised employee amounts must go to one of: Cbus Super, BUSSQ, AustralianSuper, CareSuper, HOSTPLUS, a fund the employer was already contributing to before 12 September 2008 that is an eligible choice fund that offers MySuper, or a public sector superannuation scheme that is exempt; or any fund or scheme where the employee holds defined benefit membership. For new employees, the fund must be able to accept new beneficiaries.
