A person with management or control of a Schedule 5 Part 2 item applies for its registration supported by a competent person's inspection and safety assessment; once registered, the holder passes the plant registration number to the person with management or control as soon as practicable and that person marks it on the item; the holder keeps the registration document available for inspection; and applies to renew before the 5-year registration expires, declaring truthfully that the plant has been maintained, inspected and tested under r 213.
