A design verification statement is written and signed by an eligible design verifier (a competent person who was not involved in producing the design), states the design was produced to the specified published technical standards or engineering principles and gives the verifier's name, address, qualifications and organisation. The verifier documents the verification process and its results, and no one makes a statement without being eligible or without having verified the design.
