The PCBU must consult affected workers when developing procedures for consulting on WHS, resolving WHS issues, monitoring workers' health and workplace conditions, and providing information and training. Procedures should be in writing, show the role of health and safety representatives and others, and be easy to reach, for example on noticeboards or the intranet. The WHS Regulations set default issue resolution procedures that the PCBU must follow unless it develops its own, in which case it must meet the minimum requirements and steps in the Act and Regulations, put them in writing and communicate them to all workers covered.
