Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals
Chapter 3, SDS sections 1 to 3: identification, hazard identification and composition – Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals

Australia Model Code of Practice: Preparation of Safety Data Sheets for Hazardous Chemicals s3-proportions: Section 3: disclose ingredient proportions in descending order, using the set confidential ranges only where the exact figure is confidential and preferring narrower ranges, totalling 100% where possible

What does s3-proportions require?

Where an ingredient's identity or generic name is disclosed, its proportion must also be disclosed. Where there are several, they should run from largest to smallest share by mass or volume, with non-classifying ingredients after those that drive the classification. Where the exact concentration is commercially confidential, it may be given in the ranges below 10%, 10 to under 30%, 30 to 60% or above 60%, though a narrower range should normally be used (for example 30 to 40% for an ingredient at 35%). Where possible the listed composition should total, or show, 100%, estimating the non-hazardous balance if needed.
