Poor change management covers not consulting workers, poor consideration of WHS risks or productivity effects when downsizing, relocating or introducing technology, poorly planned or communicated change that lets rumours spread, insufficient information, inadequate support through change and insufficient training. Example controls: consult through agreed arrangements when planning changes that raise WHS concerns; adjust work plans and performance targets for the period of change; plan changes to duties, tasks and reporting reasonably and fairly; give practical support and tools for new duties; provide authoritative information early, keep workers up to date and explain the reasons; tell customers and suppliers about the effects; provide emotional support; involve workers in new position descriptions and processes; respect differing responses; provide information, training, instruction and supervision; and make sure those communicating change have the skills and authority.
The graph holds this control, the 0 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
