Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work
Section 1: Duties and consultation – Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work

Australia Model Code of Practice: Managing Psychosocial Hazards at Work 1.2c: 1.2 Make workers and other persons at the workplace aware of expected behaviour

Workers must take reasonable care for their own psychological and physical health and safety, must not adversely affect others, must follow reasonable health and safety instructions so far as they are able, and must cooperate with reasonable policies notified to them, for example policies setting standards of behaviour that prevent bullying and harassment (WHS Act s 28). Other persons at the workplace such as visitors and customers must take reasonable care for their own and others' safety and follow reasonable instructions from the PCBU, so a customer must not be violent or abuse or harass staff (s 29). The PCBU's part is to notify these expectations clearly so the duties can be met.
