Australia Model Code of Practice: Healthcare and Social Assistance Industry 3.7b: 3.7 Provide first aid, facilities and emergency plans, including for work in homes

The PCBU must provide access to first aid equipment and facilities and enough trained first aiders, scaled to the risks, with a risk-based first aid kit for workers delivering care in homes. Facilities must be provided for workers, including toilets, drinking water, washing and eating facilities, in good working order, clean, safe, accessible and separate from work areas. An emergency plan must be prepared and maintained for every workplace, including workers working from people's homes, with procedures for effective response, evacuation, notifying emergency services as soon as possible, getting medical help, communicating with workers during an emergency, training workers on what to do and testing the response. The content depends on the risks of the workplace.
