Where construction work costs $250 000 or more it is a construction project and its principal contractor carries additional duties under WHS Regulations 293 and 308 to 315: signage identifying the principal contractor, preparing, informing on, reviewing and keeping a copy of the WHS management plan, obtaining SWMS for high risk construction work, and further duties on specific regulations and risks. The principal contractor must record in the WHS management plan the arrangements for the PCBUs on site to consult one another and cooperate and coordinate their work (see 3.1).
