Annual leave is provided by the NES and does not apply to casuals. Seven-day shiftworkers regularly rostered on Sundays and public holidays in a business rostering shifts continuously around the clock are shiftworkers for the extra NES week. The employer must pay a 17.5% loading on the NES annual leave payment, including on untaken annual leave paid out when employment ends.
