Ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Sunday must be paid at the weekend penalty in 26.1 for full-time and part-time employees; casuals working on a weekend are paid the casual weekend rate in 26.1(b) instead of the casual loading. Shiftworkers whose ordinary rostered hours finish between 6.00 pm and 8.00 am or start between 6.00 pm and 6.00 am are paid the shift penalty in 26.3 (casuals the casual shift rate instead of the loading), which does not apply on weekends and public holidays where those rates apply.
