Overtime is payable for full-time employees beyond ordinary hours or 10 hours a shift; for part-time employees beyond ordinary hours (unless a variation was agreed under 10.3), beyond 10 hours a shift, or beyond an average of 38 hours; for casuals beyond 10 hours a shift or 38 hours a week or 76 a fortnight; and where an employee is deprived of part of the break between shifts. It must be paid at the rates in clauses 25.2 (full-time and part-time) and 25.3 (casual) of the current award (consolidated to 1 October 2026, read 30 September 2026), by day of the week and hours, in substitution for and not on top of the clause 26 penalties.
