An employee who works overtime is entitled to 10 consecutive hours off between finishing work one day and starting the next, without loss of pay for ordinary hours. If the employer instructs the employee to work without that break, it must pay the rate in 25.4(b) until the employee is released, and the employee may then be absent until they have had 10 consecutive hours off, without loss of ordinary pay.
