Where the franchisee leases or occupies premises from the franchisor or an associate, the franchisor or associate must give a copy of the lease or agreement to lease (and related documents) within the time the Code sets; other agreements the franchisee must sign (intellectual property, security, confidentiality and restraint agreements) must be given at least 14 days before the franchise agreement is signed, or when they become available.
