Australia Franchising Code of Conduct (Franchising Regulations 2024) s20-21: ss 20 and 21 Create a disclosure document in the prescribed form and update it within 4 months of each financial year end

A franchisor must create a disclosure document that follows the form and content of the Schedule 1 disclosure items, so that a prospective or renewing franchisee can make a reasonably informed decision and current franchisees have material information. A franchisor that is a party to an agreement and entered two or more agreements in the previous financial year, or intends to enter another, must update it within 4 months after the start of each financial year.
